Key Takeaways
- Variety packs lead everything, with 58 verified reviews spread over five pack sizes.
- Maeng Da is the most reviewed single strain at 34 reviews, partly because one listing covers three vein colors.
- Graded and blended products are more popular than famous names. Super Red has more than five times the reviews of Red Bali.
- Red leads the vein count, though one product carries almost half of that lead.
- Classic strains sit lower than you’d think, probably because regulars reorder them without reviewing.
Nearly two out of every three customer reviews on one kratom Canada store go to Maeng Da and the variety packs. Only one of those is a strain.
You only find out things like that by counting, so that’s what we did. Every review on the store comes from a verified buyer, which means each review stands for a real order, not anyone’s opinion of what ought to be popular.
Some results were easy to predict, and others weren’t. Red Bali, the classic red almost everyone has heard of, has two reviews. Super Red, which doesn’t even carry a place name, has eleven.
Famous names and the most reviewed products turned out to be two very different lists.

How the Numbers Were Counted

Big Bear Kratom is an Ontario-based kratom Canada vendor, and only customers who have bought a product can review it there. That makes its review counts a fair stand-in for real orders. We added up those counts across the store in October 2026. Maeng Da counts as one strain, since its red, green, and white versions share a page, and all five variety pack sizes count as one product.
Most buyers never leave a review, so the real numbers are higher. After the top five, the counts are too close to rank one by one, so we grouped those strains together. And this is one store, not all of Canada.
The Top 10, Ranked by Verified Buyers
Which kratom strains are most popular with Canadian buyers? Going by verified reviews, these are the ten.
1. Kratom Variety Packs (58 Reviews)
No single strain comes close. Buyers fill each pack with whatever strains they like, which is probably the appeal. One box can hold a red, a green, and a white, and you sort out your favorite later. The 1kg Variety Pack (4x250g) has 25 of those reviews on its own. The 300g Beginner’s Pack (3x100g) has 16, which tells us a lot of people start out comparing rather than committing. Prices for the customizable kratom variety packs run $40 to $180.
2. Maeng Da (34 Reviews)
Maeng Da wins the single-strain race easily, and the way it’s sold explains a good part of that. It grows on grafted trees with jagged, horned leaves, and the store lists red, green, and white versions together on one page. Anyone searching Maeng Da kratom Canada ends up facing the same choice of which color to get. Plenty of people skip the decision and order two. The red, green, and white Maeng Da comes in five sizes, 25 grams up to a full kilogram, and the story behind Maeng Da’s popularity goes back to that grafting.
3. Super Red (11 Reviews)
This one surprised us most. Super Red has more than five times the reviews of Red Bali, without a famous region in its name. It’s made from the best harvests of Red Maeng Da, picked for higher mitragynine levels and a more balanced alkaloid profile. Super White and the Super Signature blend sit beside it in the store’s graded super strains, which is about as close to premium kratom Canada shoppers will get on a strain list.
4. Super White (7 Reviews)
Super White begins as White Maeng Da. A lot only keeps the name if it tests above 1% mitragynine, so there’s a real lab number behind every batch. Seven reviews may not sound like many, but among white kratom Canada listings at the store, no other white product has more than three.
5. Red Dragon (5 Reviews)
Red Dragon mixes the store’s best red strains and was put together with Red Bali and Red Thai fans in mind. Interestingly, the blend now has more reviews than either of them. Red Bali sits at two, and Red Thai has one. Some buyers seem happy to let a blend do the comparing for them.
6. 5 Strains Tied at Three Reviews Each
Below the top five, every strain has three reviews or fewer, so a strict order wouldn’t mean much. These five stood out, either because they reached three reviews or because the store itself marks them as popular.
- Green Dragon is the green version of Red Dragon, a blend of the store’s top greens. Its product notes compare it to Green Bali.
- Green Malay comes from naturally grown trees, not grafted stock, which makes it a handy contrast to Green Maeng Da. The store names it, alongside Green Maeng Da, as one of its two most popular greens, and it’s the only green vein kratom Canada listing on the store’s popular products list.
- Red Bali has only two reviews but still sits on the store’s popular products list.
- Red Bentuangie ferments for two to five days before drying. That gives the powder a darker shade and an earthy smell.
- White Vein Bali is Red Bali’s earlier-harvested counterpart, and it’s on the store’s popular list too.
Why the Famous Names Sit Lower

Red Bali, White Vein Bali, and Red Hulu Kapuas all appear on the store’s own popular products list. None of them has more than two reviews. These are likely reorder strains. Someone who has bought Red Bali five times already knows it and probably won’t write about it. A first order of a new blend feels more worth commenting on.
They’re interesting strains in their own right, too. Red Bali is commonly said to grow mostly in Kalimantan rather than Bali, with its name often traced to old trade routes. Red Hulu Kapuas is generally sourced from small farms along the upper Kapuas River in Borneo.
Red Wins the Vein Count
Leave out Maeng Da and the packs, and red listings hold 24 reviews between them. White and green each sit in the low to mid teens.
- Red has 24 reviews.
- White has 16.
- Green has 13.
Red’s lead leans heavily on one product, since Super Red makes up almost half of it. White is carrying close to half of its total. Green is the odd one out. Its reviews are spread thinly, with no green listing above three, which makes us think green buyers like to rotate instead of picking a favorite.
What Buyers Say in Toronto, Vancouver and Alberta
Big Bear Kratom doesn’t publish strain sales by city. Customer testimonials do give a feel for what each region cares about, though.
| Region | What Buyers Bring Up |
| Toronto, ON | Same-day shipping and testing for heavy metals |
| Vancouver, BC | Quick delivery to the coast and the packaging |
| Alberta | An order reaching Lethbridge in under 24 hours, and more strain choice than a local supplier offered |
Nobody in these testimonials names a favorite strain. So, in all three places, the national ranking is still your best guide.
Where a Ranking Stops Being Useful

A long review page tells you people buy something. It can’t tell you what’s in the batch you’re about to get. Researchers at the British Columbia Institute of Technology flagged products sold as kratom that contained synthetic compounds, and you’d never spot that from star ratings.
Health Canada also hasn’t approved kratom, and the Government of Canada has warned about unauthorized kratom products seized from Edmonton stores. So, when you’re comparing kratom Canada sellers, let popularity narrow the field, then let a batch-specific certificate of analysis decide.
Start With the Strains Canada Keeps Coming Back To
Not sure where to begin? The numbers make a decent case for starting small. The 100g Sample Pack gets you four strains of your choice, 25 grams each, for $40. Put Super Red next to Red Dragon, or Green Malay next to Green Dragon, and see which one you’d order again.
Big Bear Kratom ships from Ontario to every province, tests each batch for heavy metals, pesticides, mold, and bacteria, and covers shipping on orders over $80. There’s a handwritten note in every box, too.
Every strain in this ranking is sold as lab-tested kratom powder in sizes between 25 grams and 1 kilogram, so you can order as little or as much as you like.
